"My home, my house, my dream house”, is more than a place that combines education, entertainment and creativity.” According to the renowned Belgian artist Arne Quinze his idea “was to build a place where children would feel safe. Something that you can compare with the area under the table in our childhood where you could cry, think, dream.”
Within their own village, children from the SOS Children’s Village Chantevent in Belgium now have a new interactive artistic creation which “provides a place where children can hide, dream and be who they want to be,” said the village’s director, Philippe Rappe.
"Even if their new life in the SOS village is a very positive experience, most of them still miss their home and biological parents. It is therefore important that they have their own space. In addition this stilt house offers an opportunity for the teaching team to open a discussion with the children on a very sensitive issue: my house, my home, my family.”

This creative initiative is supported by Louis Vuitton as part of a 5-year global agreement with SOS Children’s Villages. The aim of this partnership is to help shape the future of disadvantaged children across the globe: a future founded on security, education and learning.
Drawings from SOS Children’s Villages from all over the world will be used to complete the decoration of the stilt house in May 2012.
