In a community with a collapsing economy, housing is amount the last things a family will spend money on- the need for food and water take priority. An outreach program of SOS identified people suffering due to poor housing. This is an unfinished house—the door is fashioned from tins which have been flattened.
This is the basic structure of the house. The beneficiary will take the mud sitting beside the house, mix with straw and plaster to form a kind of plaster which will dry in the strong sun.
