Children's Rights

This lesson plan encourages students to think of reasons why children are orphaned and abandoned across the world in general, and then in South Africa
in particular. After introducing the students to some basic information about South Africa, they get to hear about some of the children who have been helped by the SOS Children’s Village in Rustenburg in the context of the UN convention of the Rights of the Child. It is most appropriate for Grade 6 and up.
