Haiti Earthquake Relief 

The January 2010 earthquake in Haiti threatened the lives of many within the country, including the smallest and most vulnerable citizens—the children. SOS Children's Villages has been actively involved in providing relief to the people of Haiti.

SOS Children's Villages Alumna Named Haiti's First Jolie Legal Fellow

January 12, 2011: SOS Children’s Villages, a global organization dedicated to providing family-based services for children without parental care, today announced that Nathalie Nozile, an alumna of the SOS Children’s Villages in Santo, Haiti, has been selected as the first Jolie Legal Fellow. SOS School reopens in Haiti

06/04/2010 - Before the earthquake, the SOS Hermann Gmeiner School in Santo on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince had 550 pupils. But with the many abandoned and orphaned children which are temporarily cared for at the SOS Children's Village, that number is expected to increase with approximately 300 more students. Until last week, the school facilities were used as storehouse for emergency supplies and as base camp for the emergency staff. This week the first classes could be re-started. More...
