SOS Children’s Villages Canada is seeking an accomplished Director of Integrated Marketing with multiple years of senior marketing experience. The ideal candidate possesses skills in a variety of multi-channel fundraising campaigns encompassing the full cycle of creation, execution, and analytics.
This is a hands-on role. You will strategize, collaborate, and execute comprehensive marketing initiatives including face-to-face interactions, direct mail, telemarketing, and direct response television (DRTV). Your expertise will drive our mission forward by engaging donors, raising awareness, and generating vital funds to support our cause. This position requires a candidate with a strong analytical background, proficiency in marketing analytics tools and software, and the ability to translate data into strategic marketing initiatives. Your ability to implement a strategic marketing plan that communicates our message in a powerful way and inspires action with a variety of audiences, sets you apart.

About the role
Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of Integrated Marketing will set and guide the strategy for all marketing activity ensuring coordinated campaigns are designed to optimize various stakeholder objectives. This overarching role will direct and design the annual marketing calendar in collaboration with the communications and fundraising teams to ensure strategic and cohesive messaging across all platforms.
Your responsibilities will include developing a robust analytics framework to track campaign performance across all channels, from face-to-face interactions to DRTV. You will leverage advanced data analysis techniques to gain insights into donor behaviors and preferences, enabling the optimization of marketing strategies for enhanced donor engagement and increased fundraising. You will not only lead the creation and execution of diverse fundraising campaigns but also delve deep into analytics and campaign analysis to ensure each initiative's success
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead and expand our face-to-face fundraising efforts, cultivating effective relationships with F2F providers and building strong relationships with donors and the community.
- Manage F2F direct mail campaigns, ensuring they are innovative, cost-effective, and yield high response rates
- Spearhead F2F telemarketing strategies, ensure external provider educates via training and guidance to their teams, to engaging donors in meaningful conversations.
- Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with our strategic goals and maximizes fundraising potential.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for each campaign, monitor them in real-time, and adjust tactics as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Conduct A/B testing for various campaign elements to determine the most effective approaches and use predictive modeling to forecast fundraising trends and donor responses.
- Analyze market trends and donor data to inform decisions and adapt strategies for optimal results.
- Present detailed campaign analysis reports to stakeholders, provide clear and actionable insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Provide oversight and collaborative support to Team Leads in areas of Google Grants, SEO, Web Content/Planning, Social Media, Direct Response marketing.
- Direct DRTV campaigns, collaborating with production teams to create impactful advertisements that capture our audience's attention.
- Develop, monitor and manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to achieve objectives.
- Engage with communications and fundraising teams, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Ensure consistent messaging that SOS Children’s Villages Canada is viewed as a trusted leader, and recognized authority within Canada’s international development and humanitarian sector.
- Network with SOS Children’s Villages International marketing expert forums, essential to program-specific marketing trends & research.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Multiple years of relevant hands-on work experience in design, implementation and analysis of face-to-face marketing campaigns, preferably within the charitable sector.
- Demonstrated knowledge of multi-channel marketing strategies, traditional and digital, social media platforms, analytics, and evolving best practices.
- Highly collaborative and service driven working style; experience developing and implementing marketing strategies in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- A creative thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- A passion for, and knowledge of, child-focused international development and humanitarian assistance programming.
- A strong track record as an implementer who thrives on managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
- High energy, demonstrated leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force and to position the team discussions at both the strategic and tactical levels.
- Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all constituent groups, including the communications team, the leadership team, board members, volunteers, donors, and other key stakeholders.
- A degree/diploma in marketing, communications, and/or equivalent related experience is an asset.
