YouthCan! Facts and Figures 2024 is now available

Worldwide, 269 million young people (aged 15–24) are neither in education, employment, or training (NEET). That’s one in five or 20% globally, with young women twice as likely to be impacted as young men, making them especially vulnerable to long-term exclusion from work and education.
Young people growing up without adequate parental care are particularly disadvantaged in their search for employment or starting a business, as they often lack the education, training opportunities, and family support networks that their peers have.
YouthCan! is a global program focused on employability and entrepreneurship, designed to help young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it transition successfully from school to decent work and independent living. The program tailors its approach to the individual needs of young people and the specific conditions of their local environments.
