Musicians - Lend your Voices to Orphaned and Abandoned Children
As musicians you are ideally situated to convey important messages! Share your talent - Raise awareness and funds for the world's most Vulnerable Children! |
Lend your Voice to the Voiceless
For World Orphan Week 2010 we encourage anyone who can strum a guitar, pick a banjo, beat a drum, or rock out on a xylophone to go for it, and do it for the children!
If you are part of a band and would like to host an 'open mic' event, or pub night with live music, why not do it for a great cause?
We want to motivate musicians accross Canada to help us get the word out - that we can't leave over 114 million children world wide raise themselves!
Help raise funds and awareness for this important cause. We'll supply you with posters, informative material about orphaned and abandoned children, donation collecting material, informative brochures and a warm fuzzy feeling. We'll also help you get your event into your local newspaper!
What we need you to do is:
- Volunteer your talent
- Arrange a venue (Pub, School Gym, Your Friend's Garage, anything...)
- Get people out (we'll help you by providing posters you can post around town, your school or campus, shopping malls...)
- Share the reason for your event with your audience and accept donations for SOS Children's Villages (or charge cover)
- Play your heart out - give 'em a good show
We'll also post your event on our "Voices for the Voiceless" webpage to inspire others to do the same (as long as you don't mind)
Interested?
Let us know - We'll send you what you need to raise awareness and funds for the world's orphaned and abandoned children.
