Thank you for your interest in SOS Children’s Villages! By joining us, you are committing yourself to help in the fight to give orphans and abandoned children around the world a safe and loving home.
SOS Children’s Villages is the world’s largest charity for orphaned and abandoned children. Founded in 1949, due to the orphan crisis caused by World War II, we have grown to over 500 villages across 135 countries and territories around the world. Through our education, medical, family strengthening and outreach programs we impact the lives of over 1 million people each year. With your help we hope to positively reach even more children and families in the years to come.
We are excited to be one of the charities of choice for the Miss Universe 2020 Canada pageant! This year, all the funds raised will go towards supporting two projects in Nicaragua.
- School supply program aimed to equip young learners with the educational tools needed for their academic success
- Digital communities program geared to ensure Nicaraguan youth access to Internet and Information communication technologies that promote self-sufficiency.
This SOS Children’s Villages Canada Volunteer Toolkit will provide you with resources necessary to play an active, vital role in raising awareness and funds for these life transforming programs within your community.
