The Opportunity: Digital Fundraiser

Postion Summary:  This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and highly effective digital fundraiser to take on a challenging role within a well-respected international organization. 

If you have a university degree or college diploma and/or at least two years of relevant experience, developing, executing and analyzing online fundraising campaigns, please submit your resume with a cover letter, no later than Sunday November 4th, 2018. 

If you are the successful applicant, you will be responsible for implementing, executing and analyzing activities related to SOS Children’s Villages Canada digital fundraising strategies, which include; search engine optimization, search engine marketing, online display advertising, online display within Facebook, remarketing, lead generation and e-appeals and other forms of digital marketing. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Throughout 2018, SOS Children’s Villages Canada will continue growing its digital fundraising program to increase the number of one-off and committed donors.

Reports To: Director, Integrated Marketing

Supervisory Responsibitities:  None

Qualifications and Experience: 

  • A university degree or diploma in marketing, e-commerce, or communications. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in digital marketing or online fundraising.
  • Strong background in running online campaigns for the purposes of customer acquisition.

The following attributes are required:

  • A sound knowledge of web analytics platforms (i.e. - Google Analytics);
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital measurement / metrics;
  • Experience producing digital performance reports;
  • Experience working with content-management-systems and e-mail marketing tools;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment;
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal skills;
  • Fluent in English.

The following attributes would be an asset:

  • Knowledge and experience in Drupal
  • Knowledge and experience in online donation platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management systems
  • Knowledge and experience in bulk email solutions
  • Knowledge and experience with HTML and CSS
  • Knowledge and experience with photo editing software
  • Knowledge and experience in video editing
  • Professional experience within the not-for-profit sector
  • Professional experience in fundraising
  • Fluent in French

Responsibilities

  • Execute SOS Children’s Villages Canada's paid digital marketing campaigns, including integrated fundraising campaigns with digital elements.
  • Oversee the search performance, both organic and our SEM marketing
  • Provide feedback on online media plans to get advertising tracking in place, ensuring campaigns are executed and managed on target.
  • Ensure all digital analytics are set up correctly to track online performance, by working with other team members and outside vendors to confirm all required analytics coding is in place across SOS Children’s Villages website, e-mails, social media, display advertising and search engine marketing.
  • Help establish an effective lead generation program for committed donors.
  • Work with the Communications on Social Media measurements and tracking
  • Add and test new tracking codes through the website CMS and other tools.
  • Build and maintain website donation landing pages for new online campaigns within SOS Children’s Villages Canada's websites CMS(s), as well as write and maintain online content to secure new donors.
  • Create, deploy and report on e-mail marketing activities for fundraising and stewardship purposes (i.e. – email appeals and communication to known persons).
  • Collect and synthesize data to report on all applicable online performance metrics (i.e. - conversion rates, click-through rates, CPA, etc.).
  • Analyze and report on all online fundraising activities undertaken and provide strategic recommendations to boost digital ROI.
  • Develop and fill out reporting templates that pertain to online marketing and communications performance.
  • Support the Director, Integrated Marketing with the execution of SOS Children’s Villages Canada's digital strategy, as required.
  • Work with key stakeholders (i.e. – creative and web development suppliers) to get online campaign elements built and operational.
  • Coordinate and manage required outputs with web development agencies, media agencies and other suppliers, as needed.

Renumeration:

 Salary will be commensurate with experience.  SOS Children’s Villages Canada also provides a benefits package.
