Canada Post strike: How to support children during service delays
The ongoing Canada Post strike has disrupted mail delivery across the country, affecting how donations are received. For supporters who typically give through the mail, this interruption may delay the arrival and processing of contributions intended to help vulnerable children. In response, SOS Children’s Villages Canada is encouraging donors to consider alternative methods such as online giving, which ensures support reaches children without delay. The organization remains committed to acknowledging and processing all mailed donations as soon as postal services resume.
Other ways to donate:
Online: Donate securely online any time, day or night.
- By phone: Call us at 613-232-3309 between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm EST, Monday to Friday and we will process your donation right away via credit card.
What if my donation is already in the mail?
If you’ve already sent a cheque or donation form by mail, we will process it as soon as it arrives. There is no need to resend it. If you’re concerned about delays, please give us a call so we can confirm your support and ensure your contribution is directed where it’s needed most.
We are grateful for your patience and generosity. Thank you for standing with children.
