Construction Competed
SOS Children’s Villages Canada is pleased to report that the construction in Namibia of the first “All Canadian” SOS Village is complete!
Over the past year great progress has been achieved in the construction of the first “All Canadian funded” SOS Children’s Village in Ondangwa.
All of the buildings are now complete with roofs, windows and doors in place. It finally looks like an SOS Village!
Now the final touches are being put in place. The SOS mothers have been in training for the past few months, and moved into the village in November. They are responsible for preparing the homes for the first children. The children are expected to begin moving in shortly.
Each of the 12 Family Homes will provide shelter and a caring family environment for 10 orphaned or abandoned children. In the SOS Village these children who had no home, no family and no hope for the future will receive a safe place to call home and the very best in health care and education.
