My School by Gobisa (boy in grade 7)
What I like about my school is that we have good teachers. We have computers, and they teach us everything. I like my school very much. I wish I could stay here until I finish Grade 12. My school is beautiful. I like everything about my school, especially my teachers. I like my school very much. I love writing and reading.
I will always love school, no matter what, and I will always read to the best of my ability. The best thing is that my teachers are very kind to the learners, and I love everything about my school.
I love extramural activities, especially baseball and cricket. My school is very important to me, and I enjoy each and every moment of it. I don't like bad things.
When I'm bored, I just read my books. School is the best. I love attending SOS Children's Villages Primary School. I will always respect my teachers, especially here at the SOS Children's Villages Primary School. I love everything about my school, especially when I'm writing or reading my books, and we are taught good subjects like English, Maths and Computers.
Poem by Phumeza (girl in grade 6)
I was there
at the start
I'll be there
at the end
I am
the highest mountain
the widest ocean
If you look at the world
through my eyes
you will see
the greatest desert
the morning star
the heroes and the ancestors
the gods and the spirit.
Just peep once through my eyes
And feel the blowing wind
And hear the sweet whispers.
Composition by Bandiswa (girl in grade 5)
My name is Bandiswa. I was born on 24 December 1994. I started in grade 1 in 2002. Now I'm doing grade 5. I can dance, play netball, speak English, and play volleyball.
I would like to be a teacher and teach children, as I was taught to speak, read, and write English. I would like to live in a big house with a polo car and have my children with me.
It's very nice at my school. We learn many things, such as Human Social Science and English. I enjoy attending SOS Children's Villages Primary School. I wish I did not have to go to another school.
I like music and my 'SOS home'. I also like hairstyles.
