Getting involved with your friends and family

WOW is a great opportunity to involve your friends and family in an important cause while having fun!

Tell your parents that you are interested in learning about and helping out orphaned children.  Let them know about World Orphan Week and encourage them to get involved as well.  Get them to check out the Parents page on this website to help them get started.

Click here to send a free E-card to your friends and family members to let them know about World Orphan Week and SOS Children’s Villages.

Put up a post on Facebook, Myspace, or Twitter about what you have learned about the global orphan crisis and World Orphan Week to let your friends know that you are interested and to encourage them to learn about orphans for themselves.

Plan an event with your friends, teachers, or family at your school, community center, or place of worship to let people know about World Orphan Week. Tell your classmates and your teacher about World Orphan Week, and discuss ideas about what you can do as a class to help out and raise awareness.  If your teacher wants more information, send them to our Educator  page.
