Dr. Muruga Sirigere

Having grown up in an SOS Village in India since the age of 5, Dr. Muruga truly understands the value of SOS as an organization. After leaving the SOS village, Dr. Muruga completed medical school and became an accomplished physician. Today, he cares for some of the most vulnerable people in India, providing free medical care to children. Dr. Muruga recalls visiting local hospitals with his SOS family, where he witnessed the suffering of other children. It was there that he decided to become a doctor and help serve society. In 2018, Dr. Muruga was awarded the SOS Children's Villages Award for his selfless work helping children in India live healthier, more prosperous lives.
