Medical Support

For many families affected by poverty, medical care and expenses can be out of reach, especially for already vulnerable children who may suffer from malnutrition and disease.

SOS recognizes the importance of timely and relevant medical care for families at risk, and seeks to provide this needed care. SOS does this through frequent visits to families, where they monitor the health and nutrition of the children and determine whether further medical assistance is needed in local and SOS medical facilities.

Medical support through the family strengthening programme also comes in the form of monitoring to ensure that care-givers living with HIV/aids are receiving and taking their antiretroviral drugs.

Through its medical support programme, SOS ensures that families most at risk are receiving the suppor that they need to provide a healthy environment for their children.
