When meeting Ericka, you will instantly find out that she is like a little grown-up because of the way she talks and her self-reliance. But don't think that this makes her less of a child; just read on about what she has to say about her favourite games:

What I play with
"One thing I can tell you: I don't like dolls; I find them boring. I like playing "landa" with the other children. It goes like this: one person "has it" [in Spanish, "la anda", thus "landa"] and has to chase everyone else to "pass it" to them. Whomever he or she touches "has it" and it's their turn to chase the others.
I also like jigsaw puzzles with many pieces. I like discovering new things. With the jigsaw puzzles, we do competitions, so the one who puts it together first wins. This is how we discover new ways to piece them together.
My favourite game is having my store
My favourite game is "making invoices" with a toy computer I have. I usually play it with the "chavalos" ["kids"]. I set up a market, and they come and buy. So, I look up the article prices in the computer, and I make their invoices. Of course, it is a toy computer, but I can write words on it.
My store usually has jello (a gelatine dessert), shampoo and soap, besides other goods. At my mini-market, I sell liquid to clean the floors, detergents, chlorine, everything! The store is usually in the small storeroom beside the kitchen or in my bedroom. When we play in my bedroom, I sell my clothes from the closet, but the children have to give them back to me when we stop playing.
For money, we cut up pieces of paper with the currency and amount written on them: 10, 20, 50, 100 and 500 córdobas. We cut them every time we play because we don't keep them.
Karen, Julio and Dagoberto are usually my customers, but I am always the owner of the shop. I don't like it the other way around because I like to sell things and run my own business.
