Canadian-Belgian Team Crossing Algonquin Park in Winter

A six man Canadian-Belgian Team is planning a winter expedition of 170 km,crossing Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada in the dead of winter.

The expedition will be completed on snow shoes, and is expected to start January 15th, 2006.

The Team plans to take 18 days to complete the trek - with snow blindness, thin ice and extreme cold expected to be their major challenges. The expedition is raising awareness and funds for SOS Children's Villages in Belgium and Canada.

We wish them good weather and great luck in there expedition. Learn more about the Algonquin Winter Crossing at their website at www.wintercrossing.com
