The Mother Daughter Ride

Kathy Sharpe & Blanca Scanlon-Sharpe, a mother daughter team from Toronto, Ontario are getting involved and riding their motorcycles across Canada.

Raising awareness and funds for children in need through SOS Children’s Villages.

Their goal: raise funds to create a SOS Children’s Village & inspire individuals to make giving back part of attaining their dreams.

Leaving Newfoundland in July 2010, the women will ride 19 days, attending events as they pass through communities and encouraging riders to join them in their adventure.

They anticipate that the ride will continue to grow and become a yearly event raising $2M in the next 3 years.

You can follow their journey of setting up a not for profit organization and charity fundraising campaign and tag along as they travel through Canada.

They’ve made getting involved easy through their website using their blogs, video diary, Twitter, Facebook and media coverage.
