Dr. Muruga Sirigere

Having grown up in an SOS Village in India since the age of 5, Dr. Muruga truly understands the value of SOS as an organization. After leaving the SOS village, Dr. Muruga went on to finish medical school and become a accomplished physician. Today he cares for some of the most vulnerable people in India, providing free medical care to children. Dr. Muruga remembers having the opportunity to visit local hospitals with his SOS family where he saw the suffering of other children. It was there that he decided to become a doctor and help to serve society. In 2018 Dr. Muruga was awarded the Hermann Gmeiner for his selfless work in helping the children of India live healthier more prosperous lives.
