SOS Children's Village and Social Centre in Gulu, Uganda

Northern Uganda has been in a state of emergency for 18 years due to the war brought about by the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). The LRA kidnaps, abuses and kills children, attacking villages and refugee camps. In 2002, SOS Children's Villages started an emergency relief programme, which has in the meantime become an SOS Children's Village with supporting social and medical centres. Children there are still urgently in need of help!
