Student Club at McGill is raising awareness for orphaned children

Ceres, a student-run environmental club at McGill University, took time off from their usual environmentally-focused mandate to address the important problem of caring for the world's orphaned and abandoned children.

The CERES student club at McGill organized a potluck lunch during World Orphan Week for students at their university.  They prepared an interactive and informative powerpoint presentation about the challenges the orphan crisis presents, and how SOS acts as an integral part of the solution.  They generated a lot of interest in this issue, and were able to raise some funds at the same time!

This kind of awareness is really important! Unfortunately the world orphan crisis is one that is likely to last a long time, and require long-term solutions.   We need to make sure the younger generations are aware of this humanitarian challenge!

Thank you CERES!
