SOS Children's Village Draria

SOS Children's Village Draria is about 13 km south-west of Algiers in the Wilaya (administrative district) of Tipaza.

It is located on a 38,000 m² area of land and consists of 11 family houses where up to 105 children can be accommodated.

It has a house for the village director, an administration area, a multi-purpose hall (for various village events) as well as a house for the SOS aunts (SOS mothers in training who actively support the SOS mothers)

At the same time as the SOS Children's Village was opened, in 1992 an SOS Kindergarten was also created for preschool children, which is open to both children from the village as well as children from the neighbouring areas.

It consists of three classrooms and can admit up to 60 children.

An SOS Youth Facility is designed to encourage the young people to become independent and to make it easier for them to be integrated into society and the working world. It was opened in 1998 and makes it possible for the young people to prepare for an independent life under the guidance of educators.
