SOS Children’s Villages Tlokweng was opened on January 1st, 1986 and has 16 SOS families caring for a total 135 children daily. The village has 16 family houses, a village director's house, aunts' house, an administration building, co-workers' houses, a small medical clinic, and a small multi-purpose hall.
